In 2024-2025 CAYLUS is working together with the Warlpiri Education and Training Trust (WETT) committee members across three Warlpiri communities. This allows us to support families in Nyirrpi, Willowra and Yuendumu in ways which align with Warlpiri values and needs. At the heart of this work are country visits, and we facilitate bush trips so young people and kids may have more access to looking after country, with the guidance and joy of their families.

CAYLUS facilitates trips and activities in consultation with WETT committee members. This partnership also supports local employment, drawing on local expertise, creating access to meaningful work, and providing young people with the support of local staff.

A core value of this partnership is giving young people more access to Warlpiri country beyond their residential communities. The blue zone in the map below is the approximate zone in which country visits take place.
